The Chorus reveals the 3rd energetic tool, desire, and how it provides important information about your path of greatest expansion. Katie continues the exploration of anger in the context of this new information from The Chorus, discusses the differences between Inspiration and Desire, connects this to the channeled teachings of Darryl Anka and Bashar, and provides an explanation as to why denying ourselves the perceptions of our desires has been so purposeful and important to our experiences here.

Kickoff
Welcome back, everyone. This week, we’re covering our third energetic tool. So far, we’ve talked about intuition, inspiration. And this week, The Chorus will discuss a third energetic tool that every human everywhere has access to.
I’ll leave it to them to introduce it, but I will say that one of the things I have enjoyed most in my conversations with The Chorus over the years, is their ability to bring profound new understandings to things that I had often overlooked. And they do that no more so than in today’s topic.
So without further ado, I give you…the masters of loving our mundane human existence, humanity’s biggest fans, The Chorus.
The Chorus
[Starts at 2:00]
Greetings, Beloved Ones. We would like to continue today on the topic of your energetic tools, for there is much yet left to discover.
Thus far when we have spoken about your energetic tools, we have pointed to the fact, or suggested, that these are names for things, these are names for capabilities, that you have to detect and understand the energy around you.
Up until now, the human existence – based on what you are able to recall – has been limited to the perception of the environment around you on the five senses frequencies. There is more about the environment around you, that you are beginning to perceive by way of these senses.
We have begun with senses that you are perhaps quite clear on. The idea of intuition, of a knowing that underlies your actions and thoughts and behaviors in day to day life.
Perhaps a little more perceptive and beyond that is the perception of inspiration. A joyful moving in a direction of a thing that you would like to do, or be, or think about. Inspiration is a calling, it is a tug. It is a gentle nudge in a direction that you would like to follow.
As you begin to better understand, and to better acquaint yourselves, consciously speaking, with these energetic tools, you will find that the barriers between them become rather thin, and that sometimes a knowing can feel like an inspired nudge. And that sometimes an inspiration has a knowingness to it, as if you always could predict that you would head in that direction.
This is not a lack of understanding that causes these things to be fluid. Rather, it is your growing distinction. It is your growing energetic perceptions, that allows you to experience the nuance between these things.
What we have spoken about so far, might seem very discrete or very specific. As you move forward, what you will discover is that the sense of these things is far more fluid. It is an aspect of the human mind and the belief systems that you have that cause yourselves to hold a perception of the distinctiveness between things, between yourself and the chair you are sitting on, between one car and another, between one person and another. The lines of delineation in your perception are very clear.
As you move forward in your perception of energy, what you will discover is that the universe, Creation, and energetic frequencies are far more fluid and dynamic, far more interactive and ever changing, growing and expanding.
Thus, your energetic perception or your ability to perceive the nuance in things will also expand. You will be able to simultaneously sense a variety of energetic frequencies at different points of expansion, you might say, in the same experience, in the same entity, in the same aspect of Creation.
Thus, Creation becomes far more diverse, far more creative, far more infinite in your perception.
Thus, the next energetic tool we would like to discuss with you might seem a little vague at start to a human. For this is the beginning of your ability to sense nuance. And in the sensing of nuance to a human at the start, it can seem very subtle. But we assure you Beloved Ones, this ability to perceive energy is far from subtle. In fact, it is as fundamental as the energetic tools we have discussed in the weeks prior.
As you go forward, the subtlety of this energetic tool will feel more and more concrete to you until it becomes part and parcel of your every energetic perception.
This energetic tool that we would like to speak of is called Desire.
We understand. Humans believe, in your day and time, that they have a very clear understanding of the sense of what the word desire means. There are things that you actively want in your day-to-day lives all of the time. It is rare that you would find a human in your day and age, who you could ask, “what is it that you desire?” And who would not readily respond with the list of items, or products, or things, or experiences that they would like to have.
Also, humans of your day and time are quite aware of the fact that not all desires can be met in the moment that they are conceived. And that some desires might never be met in your lifetimes in the way that you have envisioned them in your minds.
We would like to suggest a slightly different idea of the concept of the energetic ability that we call Desire.
As we spoke about before, Intuition is broadening your perception of the energetic frequency that you are currently on.
Inspiration is a broad sense of your path of greatest expansion, calling to you in the direction of experiences, and of actions, and other things in your day-to-day environment that will bring you closer and closer into the flow of that path.
Desire is a more energized diversion of Inspiration.
As you go forward, you will find that Inspiration has slightly different nuance to it which will be helpful to you. However, for now, suffice it to say that while Inspiration is a subtle and soft suggestion of the direction of your path of greatest expansion, Desire is a far more energized version of this path; of this sense of your own flow.
Is it not surprising, then, Beloved Ones, that there would be so many beliefs in your belief system complex, that would cause you to disallow the sense of your own desires?
Is it not surprising, then, Beloved Ones, that you have so many beliefs that would cause you to doubt or even turn away from the things that you truly desire?
It was perfectly constructed for the purposes of your experience here, which was to experience limitation, and lack. Disallowance of your true and infinite natures, to have the experience of being limited. Thus, no more so could you have cut yourselves off, than by disallowing, diminishing or even extinguishing, in some cases, your sense of your own flow, of your own path of greatest expansion, which you call desire.
In recent years, and in the years to follow, humans will become more and more conscious of the things that they desire. They will also become more conscious of the beliefs that they hold, which would tell them that they are unworthy, undeserving of that desire. The beliefs that tell them that that desire would be impossible to achieve, to create, or to succeed.
Humans over time, will begin to become aware of the strong energetic pull of a desire as well as the beliefs which might have, in previous millennia, directed them away from the sense of that path.
Understand, Beloved Ones, that energetic tools in all aspects, and in all nuances are your conscious awareness of the intangible.
And perhaps this makes sense to you that in your day and age, there is little that seems as intangible yet as clear to you as the things that you want.
In the days and weeks to come, you will be able to observe your own desires more and more, with fewer and fewer activation of judgments. In so doing, you will become more and more aware of the energetic differences between desires themselves.
There are subtleties, there are pieces of information, that are being delivered to you all the time, by way of this knowing, this strong pull that you feel inside of you, by way of your own desires. And perhaps nothing Beloved One, will feel as thrilling as awakening to the knowledge, to the loving trust, that all your desires can and will be met, infinitely.
Discussion with Katie
[Starts at 14:04]
I am so pumped that the topic this week is desire. I have so many things to say about this. You guys are gonna freaking love this.
Okay, but first, I want to just touch base on where we came from last week because I’m sure if you’re like me at all, I guess, after you heard last week’s conversation on anger, you’re probably like, “wow, yeah, I get it. That clicks. That helps.” You know, something uplifting about that topic.
And then you probably started to head into your week and had moments of anger, or experiences of anger, that caused you to be like, “wait, wait a second. How is this friction between my path of greatest expansion and my belief systems? Like I don’t get it. How’s this working?”
Like, maybe you were driving home from work, and you get home, and you’re trying to carry all your stuff out of the car, and kind of unload the car and someone’s hollering at you from inside the house asking you a question already. And then you sort of like slam your finger in the door. And it hurts like hell. And you start cursing, you kick the side of the door. And then something inside of you goes, “what? Friction?” Because if you suddenly recall the topic from last week, and you say, “wait, how is that, this? Because I just smashed my finger, I’m carrying a ton of stuff. There’s a lot going on, like how could this possibly be friction?”
And before I answer that, I want to point to what they said a couple of weeks ago about how humans learn. We have colossal belief systems that cause us to believe that if we break something down further, we will understand it better.
And The Chorus’s suggestion was that rather, by moving forwards, by expanding in your understanding of all things, you will very naturally expand and your understanding of that thing.
And so I will answer this question. But what I want you to feel within yourself as I answer it, is if the clarity feels as expansive, as uplifting and as awesome, as it did after you first heard that explanation of anger in that podcast episode? Or if the answer feels a little bit down shifted, a little bit not as expansive. And if it also seems to energize more specific questions?
Okay, you ready? Alright. So keep an eye on your internal gauge.
Okay, so what I would say was, “well, what were you thinking about on the way home?”
And you would be like, “I don’t know, I was driving, I was kind of zoned out. I guess I was thinking about my job, and how stuff went that day, and stuff people said in the meeting…”
And I go, “Uh huh. And have the drive go?”
“Well, it was fine. I don’t know. Somebody cut me off. But that’s like regular traffic, right?”
And I go, “uh huh.” And I say, “And then what kind of stuff were you picking up as you were getting out of the car?”
“Oh I don’t know all the junk. All the junk that everybody leaves in there? Like the dog bowl and stuff that I always put in there that I shouldn’t. I know I shouldn’t keep my car that dirty…”
“Yeah, yeah, you were in friction, the whole ride home. You might have even been in friction at work. When you’re thinking about things you should do, or should have said or didn’t say, but wanted to say. And that larger part of you is telling you all these things you wish you could do….Mmhmm…”
“…And then when you’re picking up all the stuff out of your car, and you’re telling yourself the way you should keep your car, and how all that should work. And then larger part of you loves you infinitely, and is saying “Nha, that’s fine. Leave it all in the car, who cares?” But you pick it up anyway…”
“…And then somebody’s hollering a question at you from inside the house already. And you feel like you should answer them. Or maybe you should have already thought to answer that or etc, while you’re carrying all these shoulds in your arms. And there’s a larger part of you that wants to put all that down, and not worry about answering that question…”
“…And then it manifested all the way down to the tip of your finger. And you got angry.”
So there was probably agitation on the drive home, there was probably agitation when that person cut you off. There was probably agitation when you picked up all the junk from inside your car and started walking in.
Anger is often the first time that we notice how we feel. But there is a gradual and nuanced growth of that friction as we continue to energize it.
Okay, how does it feel?
Are you sort of like, “huh? Okay.” Like Yeah, I get that. And then there’s there another part of you that is sort of like, “But wait a second, then am I infection all the time? How do I know, etc?”
Okay, you feel it?
Now how does that compare to how uplifted and expansive your understanding felt as we first went into that topic? Do you feel it? You feel a difference? Okay, if you don’t, no big deal.
But what I’m going to suggest is that we try it. Let’s try learning the way that The Chorus suggests it by expanding into the next topic, and see if that expands our understanding, of anger, of a different topic. As opposed to making a ten part series on anger, where we continually talk about it in more and more detail and in different angles. Let’s try it. We got nothing to lose. It’s just a podcast. Okay, so here we go.
Desire! This is one of the best topics for humans, because right now in our day and age, we’re aware of shit we want! All the time. This is so easy to relate to because everybody’s got desires.
And you might say, “well, Katie, obviously. Like, that’s not a stunner that all humans have desires.”
But is it?
If you notice The Chorus in their message today very subtly suggested that right now, in our day and age, humans are aware of a concept that they call desire. Meaning humans of other days and ages, may not have so much have had that.
And I know when they say you have an energetic tool, and it’s called desire, that may feel a little underwhelming to some of us, because when we hear energetic tools we’re like, “yeah, let’s levitate stuff with our mind and be psychically connected and move beyond words.” You know, things like that. And not to say that that stuff’s not possible.
But from The Chorus’s standpoint, they are looking at us as infinite beings, that are consciously expanding from a point of limitation. And therefore the things that are the most amazing to them, are the aspects of ourselves that we are reawakening or awakening to having, which give us a broader read of the universe, beyond what has been in our limited perception here in the game.
And so though, we could potentially levitate things with our mind, that’s still very much five senses. That’s still an object that you see on wavelengths of eyesight, moving them around in an environment that you perceive with your five senses.
And they’re saying there are broader things out there, there is more out there than what you have allowed yourself to perceive. And these energetic tools are the beginning of how humanity is doing this.
So you might say, “okay, but I feel like humanity’s always been aware of stuff they want.”
And this is where I would softly suggest, what we allow ourselves to recall, of humanity’s history, yes, those humans likely shared our capacity for desire, though it is most likely stronger in those of us here, today.
And you say, “wait a second, you’re telling me that somewhere in our history, humans did not have a sense of their own desires? Of the stuff that they wanted?”
Yeah.
In terms of the millennia, that we have spent here, is one way of looking at it, conscious recognition of our own desires is relatively new.
And The Chorus even suggested this last week with anger as well. You might look back at human history, what parts of human history we currently recall as a collective and say, “but they look like us. They got angry, they got pissed at each other, they went to war…”
And The Chorus said last week, they said, “your anger is very powerfully and very purposely the sense of the limitations of your own belief systems in friction, with your growing sense of an expansive flow.” That’s anger today. And so anger did not show up overnight, to be fair. It’s been a growing characteristic of humanity, you might say, for some time, but also, that sense of anger, that particular sense of friction is slightly different than wrath. Slightly different.
And we will talk about that in the future. But suffice it to say, that desire, a conscious understanding of desire is new.
And can’t you relate to this just a little bit? Are there not times in your life, when you didn’t know what you wanted consciously until something happened, that then made it sort of abundantly clear that what you really wanted was…to not go, or to go, or to break up with that person, or to not break up with that person, or to take that job, or did not take that job, right? There was a part of you that always felt that way. But then something happens that brings it to consciousness.
Early in my experiences on the spiritual path, I ran across Bashar channeled by Darryl Anca. Bashar is a extraterrestrial being of sorts, I believe, is the claim. And Darryl channels this entity. And they often talk about sort of pragmatic things, how things work here, what’s going on in the galaxy, sort of stuff like that.
One of the pieces of advice that Bashar gives to humans is to follow your highest excitement. Bashar talks about this in a very powerful way, even saying, “I know there’s going to be reasons to do this, or reasons to do that. But it’s really quite simple. Whatever options are on the table for you to do in that moment, pick the one that feels the most exciting.”
And even as different guests come up and ask him different questions about – they’re struggling with something in their life, and they don’t know whether or not to do it – he always goes back to this methodology or did, and would say, “well, is that your path of highest excitement? Is that your highest excitement?” Which would always sort of bring up a human, you know, as they’re sitting there, and they’d be like, “oh, uh, er….”
You know, it sort of breaks the thinking cycle, the analysis that’s going on about what do I want to do? And just brings it up a level to what feels like what you most want to do.
This distance between the rational thinking of evaluation of what to do next, versus how do I feel? What do I want to do? What feels exciting or desirous to me? That distance is the difference between energetically resonating wholly and completely with the belief system complex, all the beliefs of our existence here, and a slightly more expanded consciousness that can turn around and look at all those beliefs and say, “I see what I’m thinking, I see what I’m evaluating. But I feel like I really want this.”
Early on, when I started listening to Bashar, I actually had a lot of confusion. Because I would say, “Oh, I think I know what’s my highest excitement.” And then I would almost as instantly not be sure. So I’m really excited to get all this stuff done today and I’d be like, “yeah, that’s it!” And then I’d be like, “wait a second. Am I excited because of how I’ll feel when it’s done? Or am I actually excited to do it?” (Laughs)
And then I would go on, and I would say, “oh, yeah, I’m really excited to have this for lunch!” And then I would say, “Wait, am I excited because it’s like a sanctioned food that I feel healthy when I eat? Or is it because like, I’m genuinely excited to eat it?”
And do you know what? Even as I asked myself, these questions, it was hard to know! It was hard to be certain. No, no, I’m, I’m excited to get this stuff done. Wait a minute. I’m excited to get it done? Or I’m excited to get it DONE? (Laughs).
Which is understandable because for a great many millennia here, we were not conscious of our own desires. These things were even more nebulous than they are today where we were simply driven by our belief systems, and we never sort of drew up, and asked ourselves, “wait, is that what I’m excited to do? Is that what I want to do? What is this thing called want? What is this feeling called desire?”
Now, as The Chorus pointed out, there are a great many belief systems that prevent us from following our desire. And you can imagine that this was by design, as they said, for if you are here in the experience of great limitation, and you can easily follow the scent of your desire, it sort of disrupts the experience of limitation.
For, as many others have said, by following your desire, by moving in the direction of your bliss, by pursuing that which gives you joy, etc, all that great advice, the energetic schema of that choice of action is basically that by following that path of desire, you are actually taking the shortest, or the most effective, or the most flowing path in the direction of your expansion.
And this is perhaps the next thing that The Chorus was alluding to, they were saying, “look, desire has information in it. And it may feel like a nuance to a human, but it is actually telling you very specific things about your path of greatest expansion.”
Energetically, it is pointing you in a direction that is accelerated, or the most flowing, or however you want to put it.
There is an energetic reason for your desire. It’s not just shit you want, although it definitely manifests as that, as the idea of that. But energetically what’s happening is you are sensing very specific and nuanced things about directions – if you want to use a three dimensional concept to understand it – directions you can take to step into your flow.
This is why Bashar and others have said, it doesn’t really matter what it is. So it doesn’t really matter out of all the options on the table, if you can finish that piece of work you’ve been working on or take a break and go for a walk. If the walk feels more exciting to you, or more desirous to you, then simply by taking that walk, all things in your life move forward.
And a human would be like, “how is that possible? Going on a walk has nothing to do with my marriage, with my finances, with my car, with you name it.”
And they’re saying, energetically it does. Because you vibrate, you resonate. And so you are always creating your own experience of the environment that you are in. And so simply by taking that walk, energetically, you have made a different choice. And you have made a choice in the direction of flow.
Now what happens when you’re on that walk, and all you are is completely stressed about the thing that you should have stayed and completed? Right? Or that was my question. Am I actually excited to get all this stuff done? And that’s my path of excitement? Or am I excited about that simply because I’ll feel better once it’s all done?
And a human as usual can break down the feeling of excitement, into finer and finer and finer questions, into more and more specific questions.
This is very difficult for beings who are not human to relate to, because to them, we are expansive beings, awakening to all of this, and they are having a grand old time explaining to infinite beings their infinite nature. And so it seems really cut and dry. It seems really fundamental. It’s like how do we explain to you guys your own existence? But to a human from within the perspective of the game, even the description, the definition of our own desires can feel confusing. It can feel not clear. As clear as it is to those who are more in touch with, more intact with, the sense of their own flow.
But The Chorus said, “this will grow.” So even though we’re going to start, in a sense, believing or feeling that these things are extremely subtle, and extremely nuanced, and sort of hard to gauge, the difference between, it does get more clear, it does get easier, because the more…Remember the cyclical nature of our environment and our existence here is that when we have a manifestation, we build a belief. And the belief affects how we perceive manifestations. That’s the cyclical nature of our existence here, that is what we discussed as the origin of the karmic wheel, the idea of karma came from this understanding of the cyclical nature of the human belief system, and our experiences here….
So if you have an experience, of desire, and you recognize that desire, and then you move in that direction, and you recognize that that felt good, you have just built a belief about the validity of that option.
Maybe a week or two passes, and then you come up to another conscious understanding of a desire. And you have a lifetime of all the reasons – and you have lifetime’s worth of all the reasons in the belief system complex to draw upon – to not follow your desire. However, there is now one in the mix in the belief system complex that says, “you know, we followed our desire last time and it wasn’t so bad. Maybe we should try it again.” And so then you follow it again. And then it seems to feel even stronger. And so you repeat that process over and over and over again and what you start to build is essentially, a new belief system complex, you could say, or a different pocket, in our belief system complex, wherein your experiences become more and more tangible on the five senses frequencies, because there are beliefs that support the clarity of those manifestations.
And so your desire moves from being not even consciously recognized, to being more and more obvious to you, to being more and more which you are compelled to follow or move in the direction of, regardless of what other beliefs, judgments, and analyses are telling you would be more prudent to follow instead.
Alright, so let’s try it.
We’re going to play a game. It’s called desire or inspiration. And you say, “what?”
And I say, “hold on, last week, we talked about inspiration as an energetic tool.” And this week, when The Chorus brought it up, they said, “it’s a softer, broader nudge.” Isn’t that true? Isn’t that true that inspiration comes through a sort of this inkling, kind of comes in out of nowhere, like, oh! That sounds great.
But a desire – far more solid. Far more tangible? Can you feel it already? That’s the beginning of a nuanced understanding of your energetic perceptions.
So let’s play with it.
Okay, so I’m gonna give you a thing. And then you tell me, if that’s an inspiration or a desire.
Stick with me, it’s gonna be worth it. Okay, ready.
Let’s say you’re sitting at your desk working on something. And then you get an inkling. “I should go into the kitchen and grab some food.” Inspiration or desire?
Okay, you keep sitting there for a little while longer. You’re writing or doing something. And then the thought passes through a second time. “Yeah, I’m getting hungry. I should really go get some food.” Inspiration or desire?
Okay, now you’ve been sitting there for 15 or 20 minutes and your stomach is starting to grumble. And you think, “okay, I really got to take a break and go get some food.” Inspiration, or desire?
You walk into the kitchen, and you throw up in the pantry, thinking about what you’ve eaten today, what you haven’t eaten today, what you should eat today. And then you see a box of something decadent, that you bought for yourself or that a friend gave to you recently, as a special treat. And you think, “ohhhhhhh, I want to shove all of those in my face right now! I’m so hungry!” Inspiration or desire?
Did you notice the progression? Of course you did. It’s kind of obvious, right? It starts as like a subtle thing. And then it gets kind of more and more and more in your face. Until when you walk into the kitchen and you see that box, it is very obvious what you want to do.
But then the question for a human as they stand confronted with that desire, is all of the analysis that goes into that choice. I haven’t eaten any protein today, I was supposed to save those. I’m not sure I should eat them straight away. Maybe I save that for dessert, bla bla bla bla bla bla.
But the desire was very, very clear by the time you got to the pantry.
When you first got the hunger pain, did you yet have a desire for food? Or had it not yet become that strong? Right? Which sensation was closer to the actual manifestation on five senses wavelengths: the inspiration or the desire?
Very good. Obviously, the desire. Okay, let’s do it again: inspiration or desire?
And I will give you an experience from an example from my own life. So this time, we’ll shift over to you seeing it as an objective bystander. So we’re gonna try and shift a little bit how we’re experiencing these things. Okay.
So many, many years ago, I had a job where I had to leave my house at 4am every Monday morning to get on a plane. Every Monday morning was a slog, was super hard. I would pack the night before, I’d be totally bummed about having to get on a plane. It wasn’t always so bad once I was on the plane, it was just really hard to get up that early. And I wasn’t totally in love with the travel or the job. So I got to know this one cabbie. And so I got his number, and he’d come pick me up every Monday, and that was kind of…helped. And I’d sit in the back of the cab on the way to the airport, kind of looking out with the darkness, because it was still pitch black out. And I’d sort of muse or dream about other jobs that people had, where they didn’t have to travel, and other ways that, you know, people lived or the people I was driving by and what they were doing. Inspiration or desire?
Now here, you might say neither. You were just sort of zoning out in the back of a cab on the way to the airport, right? Okay, I’m gonna keep going.
So every Monday, I kind of continued this constant, returning to that frequency: get in the cab, dream about how else life could be, go to work for a week.
And then one Monday morning, I’m standing in the airport. The security line is just unimaginably long, worse than I’ve ever seen it. And I get there every Monday. And there’s this part where these two lines merge together into a single security line. And I always sort of hated and was amused by this particular point in the security line, because you could almost anticipate how all the people were going to respond.
There was usually one of three ways: they’re half asleep, they’re hardly even aware that the two lines merge. They are acutely aware that the two lines merge and are kind of sort of like making darting eye contact with the person who’s going to be merging near them for many feet before the two of their positions merge. As in like, “do you want to go ahead of me or am I gonna go ahead of you? How much carry on baggage does she have? Well, I have less, maybe I go…” You know, you can see the thinking. Or the third which is: they don’t make any eye contact, and they sort of stiffen their body positions and kind of almost look like they’re gearing up for a fight. Like getting ready to just like “that’s going to be my position, motherfucker (laughs).”
It’s five o’clock in the morning at an airport and they’re getting ready to fight over a difference of one person’s position in a security line (laughs). You know? I know you’ve been there. The stress in airports is something otherworldly.
So I’m standing there in line, I’m getting closer and closer to the merge point. And my companion, my counterpart, in the other line is already stiffening, grumbling, pulling his chin down into his neck, pushing his carry on bag sort of more and more forwards. I was prepared to let him go in front of me. And then as we got closer and closer, I started to get more agitated. I know this has happened to you. And so I’m sort of like, “no, like, really. I’m supposed to merge in front of him.”
Do you believe this? Do you believe this shit, humans do? Oh, my God.
So we get closer and closer together. And you know, without needing to force myself in front of him or anything like that. I simply just step in front of him, like our two lanes, were merging. I was supposed to be the space in front of him based on how people had gone in front of me in line. And I simply just stepped into the line. And then from behind me, behind my back, I heard him say, “that should have fucking been my spot.” Something awful like that. And have you ever felt that? Someone’s energy? And I mean, it really did feel like I got pushed from behind.
And the whole thing was so ridiculous, so predictable. And in that moment, as I like, took an exhale and just like stared up at the ceiling. And I turned around to him. And I said, “Do you want to go in front of me?”
And he went, “No!” Sort of like yanked backwards on his rolling on suitcase.
And I turned around, and a thought came through to me as clear as day, “I’m going to sell everything I own, and move to Mexico.” Inspiration or desire?
That thought, in that moment, was so clear and so different from everything I was surrounded by on the five senses frequencies. It felt like truly a breath of fresh air. It felt like salvation. It felt like hope. And it was so obvious to me – the desire – that I really took notice of it. I really thought, “that came in from somewhere else.” That was not the result of a train of thought. That was something new that in that strange and weird moment in the security line merge somehow bubbled up all the way to my conscious thoughts.
Now, if we rely on our human perception of what a desire is, then we would simply dismiss it, wouldn’t we?
It would be easy to forget. It might be easy to assess as being too difficult to do. Because it’s just more of stuff that we want, because humans always want stuff, don’t we? Our attachment to the material is as infinite as we are. (Or our creation of the material is.)
But if you look at it from an energetic standpoint, in that moment, I for however brief it was, stepped very perfectly and very flawlessly into a very energized version of my own flow.
And somehow it got through all the belief systems and judgments and rationales and possibilities and riskiness. And it came all the way through as a very specific idea to move to a very specific place.
And a human might say, “but I don’t understand how that accelerates anything in my life. I don’t see how selling everything I own and moving to that place will help me achieve everything I’ve always wanted to achieve.”
You won’t.
Not from that vantage point.
One of the things that The Chorus and I talked about early on in our relationship to our desire, and how it is energetic, is that you are being given a signpost to the next most valuable, next most flowing spot on your path. And once you move in that direction, the next step will be manifested for you. But not until you move. Because you have not yet achieved that vantage point.
They gave me an example of let’s say, you’re sitting in a chair in your house one day doing whatever it is, and you get an inspiration to go outside. If you continue to sit in that chair and say, “what’s the temperature outside? Do I have time to go for a walk? I guess I gotta go get my coat…” (laughs). You probably won’t ever move. Which is the pinnacle of success for our belief systems, which we created to reinforce, constantly, our own experience of limitation.
And they’re saying from our vantage point, it’s really quite simple. When you get the inspiration to get up and go outside, you simply do that. You don’t need to pack for it. You don’t need to make sure you have the right shoes on, you simply go. And when you get up out of the chair, and open the front door, and the sunlight hits your face, the next inspiration or desire will come to you.
And you will say, “Oh yeah, that’s right! I forgot….” Fill in the blank. That “fill in the blank” may not have anything to do with being outside. Nothing! But in that moment of flow, of just standing at your front door, and letting the sunlight hit your face, that thought, that memory, was able to come to you. That next sense of desire was able to come to you.
And so when Bashar and others have said, it’s really simple, just follow your path of greatest excitement, just follow your bliss, just follow the desire. What they’re all saying is, “how do we explain to you the simple completeness of flow?” (Laughs).
How do we possibly make clear to you the fact that if you simply move in that direction, the next step will become clear to you.
Because a human sitting there, being like, “nah, dude, I don’t, I don’t know….if that’s what I want. I don’t think I have the money to afford that. I don’t think I can get the time off from work. I’m pretty sure my partner won’t approve…”
And they’re saying just open the goddamn front door! (Laughs) But a human, all of us, have built an amazing belief system complex, full of beliefs that keep us *in the chair and prevent us from moving forward*.
So now let’s look at desire from an energetic standpoint in this context.
If inspiration is sort of the softer, broader suggestion of your flow, it’s not quite always super specific, not quite as specific as a desire. Isn’t it uncanny that a desire can reach us? Isn’t it amazing that we have such clear strong sensations of what we want?
From an energetic standpoint, wouldn’t that almost suggest that our own flow, our own infinite nature, will continue to just bang down the door? And that it took all of us energizing for all of these millennia, all of these beliefs, to hold ourselves in an artificial illusion of limitation? And that as we ever so gently soften our hold on these belief systems, our focus, our attention to these things, the flowing nature of ourselves, returns to us.
Or said another way, we ever so naturally and effortlessly expand again, outward into the perception of these things.
Alright, so we’re winding down. So now let’s go back to the conversation about anger at the start of the episode.
You asked me about an example, about when you got angry, when you wanted to understand how that was friction?
Do you get angry when you feel inspired? Not often.
Do you get angry when you really, really, really want something? And you can’t have it? Yeah, yeah, we do, don’t we? Even when we’re not aware of what it is that we want, because in that position of friction, we are being held in almost a point of balance between what we want and all the reasons why we think we can’t have that or it isn’t possible.
And so have you ever been in an argument with someone and that person turns to you and says, “What do you want from me?” Or quite simply, “what do you want?”
And you shout back, “I don’t know!” I’m just a pissed off human, man.
At some point, in the process of the friction, the continual call of your desires will cause you to stop and ask, “why am I so angry?” And though a human will like to answer that question by continually digging deeper into the reasons for anger, the miracle, quite simply, is that you recognized your own anger. And were brought to the question of why you are angry.
And in so doing, you bring yourself to the conscious recognition, whatever winding path you take to get there, that there are things that you want.
And though the whole world may be telling you that you can’t, or shouldn’t, or won’t be able to. what you are starting to hear and be aware of, is the continual, invincible, clarity, of the sense of your own desire.
In that example, the friction of the drive home, the gathering the junk from the car, the hollering to someone in the house, and the slamming of your finger in the door, are all a subset, or an output of the fact that you were brought to an experience that caused you to question why am I angry? And in that open space, the clarity of the things that you want steps into the light.
For what it’s worth, I did move to Mexico.
And I didn’t know what I would do, or how it would work, or why that was the place to be. But I did.
And you know what? It all made sense, once I got there.
